I don't feel trapped between generations as one born in 12/63 I completely identify as Gen-X. I don't feel like a tweener at all. Perhaps being raised by boomers has something to do with that.

This is very interesting. I too am a "Gen Y" kid (85) with an X brother, though my father is at the very end of the Silent Generation(born in 1942).

I agree that some boomers are about as cynical, if not more so than Xers, especially the ones that were Vietnam War vets. It's understandable though, since they came back after a horrendous war and being called "Child Killers."

@stevie – yes I agree that many of the myths are based in truths for some of the generation. A poll is a good idea.

Most myths are based in fact. And, I'd say that each of those myths applies to me. So, perhaps you need a poll.
